Glossary
Dispensary
A state-licensed retail location authorised to sell cannabis.
Licensing terminology varies by state — adult-use retail dispensary, hybrid retailer, medical marijuana organisation, and so on — but all licensed retailers appear on a public register maintained by their state regulator.
Every dispensary listed on Dr. Cannabis carries its licence number and the date we last verified it against the issuing regulator.
Also written as: pot shop, cannabis store, weed store, retailer.
