Nabilone

A synthetic cannabinoid approved as Cesamet in 1985 for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.

Nabilone is structurally similar to THC but not identical. It carries the FDA indication for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in patients who have failed conventional antiemetics.

Note that Cesamet's marketing status has been listed as discontinued. Approval and commercial availability are not the same thing — check current availability with a pharmacist.

Also written as: cesamet.
